Almost ready!

We're almost ready to begin our Spring travel adventure, which will take us to two countries, ancient but entirely new to us -- Albania and Greece.

  Albania

 Greece

First up will be Albania, where we will travel for a week by car with a private guide.  We'll begin in the capital, Tirana, then travel a roughly circular route to see the highlights of this small country.

After our return to Tirana, we will fly to Athens (1), where we'll pick up a car to begin traveling on our own.  We'll first head to the Peloponnesian peninsula, southwest of Athens, to spend a week, divided into to two locations -- Lafkakia (2), near Nafplion, and Mystras (3), near Sparta.  We'll stop overnight in Delphi (4) to see what wisdom the Oracle has in store for us before heading inland for several nights in Kalambaka (5). Then, we circle back to Athens, drop off the car, and take an overnight ferry to Heraklion (6), Crete, where we'll pick up another car and spend three days on the island, staying in Rethmnyo (7), before an overnight sailing back to Athens (1).  We'll explore the ancient city and modern capital for three days before returning home.  The interactive map below provides a general idea of where these travels will take us; you can zoom in for more detail.

Feel free to join us anywhere along the way!
